A late thank you for the Christmas Ornament

I know this is very delayed in getting sent out, but I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to your group. The ornament that was sent to me in December following the passing of my father was so perfect. It was one of the most beautiful gifts I've ever received and I will treasure it always.

Thank you for the flowers.

Today my husband came home with a beautiful flower from your group. It made my whole day. The last year has been a difficult one for everyone. Being the significant other of a law enforcement officer has brought a new level of challenge that often goes unrecognized. What May appear as a small gesture to you makes a large impact to me. Thank you for sharing your hope. The world is a better place because of people like you.

…only someone who knows me would think of these things!!!

I was given the most generous gift last week and it's taken this long to find words to say thank you. Actually, I haven't found the words... A woman came to my door and handed me a beautiful bouquet of flowers along with gifts that were so specific to me that only someone who knows me would think of these things. Have you ever had every emotion under the sun triggered at the same time? I felt choked up, honored, delighted, curious, relieved, sad, guilty, embarrassed. I'd never heard of 12 ordinary women, so I looked it up on line. Honestly, I'd hoped to find a clue, but only found it's ANONYMOUS. It's taken the whole week for me to relax and accept the lovely gifts, and to allow the gratitude to overtake the flood of emotions. I consider myself an independent and self sufficient woman. I've learned that I have to work on accepting. I'm up for the challenge. So, thank you for the wonderful gifts as well as the life lesson. Eileen

4/28 Just the right time

I just want to say thank you to the 12 Ordinary Women. It was crazy. I was down to $30 in the bank after the dr and there was a knock at the door with an envelope. I am blessed to have an angel watching over me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

4/28 Maddie and I are absolutely blown away by this kindness and generosity!

Maddie and I are absolutely blown away by this kindness and generosity! Last week had been a particularly tough week with everything going on and these gifts and notes on our doorstep gave us so much peace and hope! One thing we have come to realize in the midst of the obstacles we are facing is that God is ALL AROUND!! The more we lean into him, the more he shows us his love and comfort! I cannot thank you all enough for the impact you have made on myself and my daughter! It has been an extremely difficult few months and to see a smile on her face after receiving this package will never be forgotten! From the bottom of my heart, thank you! ❤️

4/27 The BEST gift I’ve ever received

I had just finished getting ready for work when my doorbell rang. Standing there were two masked women with a beautiful plant and a gift bag. They said, "Hi, Kathy. We wanted to give this to you." Sheepishly, I replied, "I am so sorry, but I don't recognize you with your masks. Can you please take them off?" The responded, "You don't know us. The cards inside will explain." Their eyes smiled at me and they left. I hurried inside to see who these women were and why were they giving me, a stranger, a present. It was then that I read 12 beautiful notes by "12 Ordinary Women". I was moved to tears. It was as if the notes answered the prayer I offered to God the night before. I felt like God was talking directly to me, telling me that things were going to be OK and that I had people, strangers no less, who were praying for me and my sick child. The last 4-5 years have been the most difficult of my life and often a very lonely road. To be embraced in such a way by strangers, with such a deep faith in God, felt like a huge hug from each and every one of those women. I quickly composed myself and ran off to work to tell everyone what an amazing gift of joy and hope was given to me. I will treasure those notes always and have put them in a special box to reread when I am struggling and need some support. The gifts they also gave, all with a garden theme and the amazing gift card to Bachman's, will remind me every time I look at my new plants of the kindness of strangers and the love God has for all of us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
