a knock on the door changed everything

I was sitting on my couch with my 10 year old son. The day had been particularly stressful and a knock on the door changed everything. I lovely lady introduced herself and informed me I had been nominated and this was something I deserved. I thought "me"? It was a beautiful candle and such a generous gift. I was just so surprised. It made my day and week. The next day was my birthday....and it made it wonderful.

Thank you !!!!!!!

4/17 A Minnesota thank for helping my friend!

One of my best girlfriends just received a gift and she is such a loving soul going through so much, she is the best mom I know (and a single mom with a son with many health issues), best friend you could ask for, and a Minneapolis Police Officer going through so much.  She is a single mom and had I known about this group, I would donate to all women.  It made her day!!!!  Thank you so much.  Please let me know how to get involved.  Her name is Mari Askerooth!  She is deserving and I love her beyond words.  I just want to thank you!

4/17 after the fire in franklin TN

When something horrible happens and then lots of good things come from it I call that a God Wink. Today a neighbor gave me a mysterious envelope after a long chat about some sadness of our current circumstances. I opened it in front of my neighbor and we both were amazed at the note of encouragement from 12 Ordinary Women. It lifted our spirits in that instant. Another God wink indeed!! Thank you!

4/22 Evansville Thank you

A few days ago I received a very special (and completely unexpected) surprise when I found a small gift bag hanging on the door knob of my front door. It was an extremely generous gift along with a lovely card, a heartfelt personal message to me, and a prayer. It was signed "12 Ordinary Women, Evansville Chapter." Completely anonymous. I had never heard of this organization. I don't know who started it or how long it has been in existence, but it was obviously inspired by a group of amazing Christian women! What an awesome way to share God's love by a group of selfless ladies. I was overwhelmed by this loving gesture. Since then, I have been searching for the right words to express my thanks and feelings after receiving this "extraordinary" gift, but I am still at a loss to find those words. The last five years have been such a struggle for our entire family after the loss of our oldest daughter and then 17 months later the loss of our youngest daughter. Losing our two daughters followed the death of my first grandson 14 years ago at the age of 8 months. It's been a rough few years to say the least. Whoever you are, God bless you! You brought sunshine into my day and as you said in your note, "put pep in my step!"
Your act of kindness and your caring hearts will never be forgotten. Thank you!

4/7 Thank you from Allison

Even though I don’t know how this group came to know my name, I was so very touched yesterday when a sweet gift of hope was brought to my door. There is no underestimating the power of the kindness of others at a time when you feel so alone. It’s a wonderful thing you’re doing and so unexpected. Many, many thanks!

3/26 Thank you for the Bottle of Tears

Thank you for blessing me with the book Sacred Tears, the bottle to remind me God is holding my tears and the necklace of hope. Thank your for sharing Scripture (Words of Life) and for knowing there are those who are watching me walk this new path and holding me up in prayer. I am so grateful.
What a wonderful ministry.

3/25 Thank you from Gwen

I received your card and gift yesterday and I am still stunned by the gesture. I have struggled financially, physically and emotionally for several years. I am single and have lived alone for 33 years. I am blessed with a sister and many great friends for which I greatful. We lost our Mother 3 years ago and she was the first person I wanted to share this blessing. She raised us to believe in God and prayer and we do. I have shared this with every friends I can think of because it was so moving and uplifting. My Landlord is putting my rental home up for sale and I must move in next several months. The gift will be very helpful with the expenses. I hope to start a new life, maybe in a small beach town. Moving that distance wil be more complicated in many ways. A new place to live and finding a job. But this has renewed my faith that God is with me and will help me along the way to make good decisions. I hope soon to be able to be on the giving end and continue your good work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

3/23 Texas thank you from Debbie

Grace,

Sorry I missed you yesterday but wanted to thank you, and the other 11  wonderful women, for the thoughtful gift.  I will cherish it and it will provide encouragement.  Knowing there are 12 extraordinary women in Texas who are encouraging  other women who have lost a loved one is also inspiring.   I hope to meet you someday and hear your story.

May the Lord provide his blessings to you all for your good and kind deeds.

Thank you,

Debbie

3/18 Thank you from Roselyn

This message is to express my immense gratitude for your support and kindness. My husband of 41 years passed away on January 7, 2021. It has been such a difficult time.

On Tuesday, March 16, the two beautiful women, Adrienne Whiting and Patti, from your wonderful organization brought so much sunshine to my front door. My heart was smiling when they left. They offered kind expressions and sentiments of encouragement on behalf of all of you. I am humbled and grateful for your support and your generosity.

Thank you for your blessings, thoughts and prayers. Continued blessings to all of you as you continue your worthwhile objective to be a blessing to others.

Roselyn
