6/5 A gift for Gary

Something happened to me today that I will never forget. First, I received a call from a nice lady saying she had a gift for me that she would like to drop off at my home and wanted me to be available in person to accept the gift. Approximately one hour ago, that same nice lady showed up at my door with a smile and an envelope. She said the envelope represented a thank you from those whose lives I have improved in some way. I thanked the nice lady and sat down on my couch looking at an envelope with “Gary” written on it. I curiously opened the envelope and saw a picture of the backs of 12 Ordinary Women. Inside the envelope was a generous gift of money. I immediately began to cry. I remembered I had the nice lady’s phone number and called to thank her for the gift. Still in tears I visited the Chapel at St. Ann in Coppell to give thanks to God for placing these 12 Ordinary Women in my life. I lost my job on March 18 after five years with my employer. Covid-19 crushed the world economy overnight and the hotel industry (my industry) was crushed. My wife Renee never panicked and this was comforting to me. Since March 18, I have prayed everyday thanking God for all the gifts he has blessed me with - a wonderful wife, two awesome children, and health. I pray Psalm 91 each day for God’s security and protection. I am also diligently trying to make some money. My daughter Mackenzie is marrying Tom in Omaha, NE in early October. The gracious gift from the 12 Ordinary Women will go towards paying for Mackenzie’s wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Please continue to pray for my family and me and we will pray for the 12 Ordinary Women who have made a huge impact on my life. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. God bless.

5/22 Thank you for the wonderful gifts!

OMG!! Many thanks for your wonderful gifts!. We admit we have never heard of your organization (and not sure we are deserving of your kindness) but it was a wonderful surprise to receive your generosity during this time! Please let us know how we can pay it forward to another family.

Again, thank you so very much.

5/18 Love the yellow theme.

What a beautiful surprise when we received our package. We couldn’t figure out who it was from, as we opened each card the words were so healing. The gifts were so nice and we loved the yellow theme. After losing our daughter last November we have been trying to get over her loss. This special surprise made us very happy. We can’t thank you enough for this wonderful act of kindness.

5/3 During a time like this, it’s hard not to feel alone

First and foremost I want to thank everyone who put together the little gift for my daughter and I. During a time like this, it’s hard not to feel alone & receiving this gift showed me that my daughter and I have so many people who love and care for us. When I heard that we had a gift waiting for us I was surprised because we were t expecting anything, this brightened up our day and I will never forget. Thank you for showing us love and kindness, we truly appreciate it.

7/21 Only someone who knows me would know.

Within 5 months my life and my family's life has forever changed. If I am honest, I still don't want this change. It's uncomfortable and painful. Sometimes physically painful. We lost Kent after a three month battle from heart failure - all unexpectedly after he was born. You guys sent me a devotional recently and it's be surprisingly perfect. I am not usually a devotional person but this one is different. The author's story is hauntingly similar and because of that I am loving the devotional. Only someone that cared to be particular and notice the small things would know this about the author, devotional, and my story. And Because of that, I feel so loved and known. Thank you from my broken heart.
