6/5 A gift for Gary

Something happened to me today that I will never forget. First, I received a call from a nice lady saying she had a gift for me that she would like to drop off at my home and wanted me to be available in person to accept the gift. Approximately one hour ago, that same nice lady showed up at my door with a smile and an envelope. She said the envelope represented a thank you from those whose lives I have improved in some way. I thanked the nice lady and sat down on my couch looking at an envelope with “Gary” written on it. I curiously opened the envelope and saw a picture of the backs of 12 Ordinary Women. Inside the envelope was a generous gift of money. I immediately began to cry. I remembered I had the nice lady’s phone number and called to thank her for the gift. Still in tears I visited the Chapel at St. Ann in Coppell to give thanks to God for placing these 12 Ordinary Women in my life. I lost my job on March 18 after five years with my employer. Covid-19 crushed the world economy overnight and the hotel industry (my industry) was crushed. My wife Renee never panicked and this was comforting to me. Since March 18, I have prayed everyday thanking God for all the gifts he has blessed me with - a wonderful wife, two awesome children, and health. I pray Psalm 91 each day for God’s security and protection. I am also diligently trying to make some money. My daughter Mackenzie is marrying Tom in Omaha, NE in early October. The gracious gift from the 12 Ordinary Women will go towards paying for Mackenzie’s wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Please continue to pray for my family and me and we will pray for the 12 Ordinary Women who have made a huge impact on my life. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. God bless.
