3/4 I was being thanked for going out when there are natural disasters and helping those in need.

I was surprised today when two ladies knocked on my door and said they have a gift for me.  I was confused and they said to read the card and I would understand.  I read the card in disbelief and felt very humbled.  I was being thanked for going out when there are natural disasters and helping those in need.  I mostly work with the Deaf community and people with disabilities.  Sometimes I am taken away from home for months at a time.  This is a passion of mine and feel fulfilled when I can make a difference.  I was also given a box of chocolates and a spa gift card. This sign of appreciation brought me to tears.  I did not know why I was being shown this appreciation when there are so many more people out there more deserving.  I also had a feeling of guilt for receiving such a nice gesture when I was just in Puerto Rico during their worst time and seeing those people struggling just to have food, water and shelter.

My friend reminded me that I sometimes we just need to accept things ,not feel guilty and just say thank you.    I feel truly blessed to have been recognized and will continue to make a positive change !

Bless you and your organization.  Thank you so much to the 12 ordinary women !!!
