I can’t tell you what a blessing and surprise it was for our family to receive the gift baskets this week. When my 22 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia last January it was as if our world fell apart. She has been undergoing chemo for the past 11 months and it has taken a toll on her both physically and emotionally. Words can’t express how wonderful it was to see her go through the basket to open each special gift; it brought tears of joy. It came at the perfect time because later that evening she came down with a fever and ended up in the hospital. She will be in for several days and some of the items in the basket were perfect for taking to the hospital to help brighten her day. My son was so excited to be included as well. The individual notes of encouragement have been so helpful in providing me with strength and support knowing that there are 12 wonderful women out there that are praying for us during a difficult time. It makes you feel less alone and helpless. There is strength in God, His word and His wonderful angels that were part of this basket. You are a life line. Even though my daughter has another 18 months of chemo, we are encouraged that she is in remission and are hopeful that she will beat the cancer and fully recover. God bless you all for your thoughtfulness in providing joy and hope…you are making a difference!
