Giving the gift of hope
Though the past 11 months have been filled with hardship it has also shown me tremendous love and support in many forms. Feeling kind of down today, the doorbell rang and a nice woman handed me a card and told me what it was about. She and I shared a smile and she told me all of those people continue to pray for our family. What a special gift of love. I’m still reeling from my husbands death and I see God’s love and grace all around me. Thank you Jesus and 12 ordinary women!

In a world full of chaos and most recently the unexpected loss of our daughter, our hearts were filled with gratitude for your very kind gesture of hope. Today I arrived at work like every Thursday evening and there was a gift that was delivered that morning for me. As I read the letter that was enclosed my eyes swelled up. It's was like God had sent a message to me that I am on the right path. This past year I found myself crawling out of a darkness that not many understand. However, there have been angels with me the whole time and today confirmed this. I want to say thank you to these ordinary women cause somedays I feel like life just keeps throwing curve balls and it's all I got to stand back up, however, God's grace gets me back up everytime. I was working upstairs this morning at the restaurant I’ve been employed at for the last four years, I had a very busy day and today I’m five months pregnant and some days. Not only am I very emotional but I got a call from my doctor this morning and they want me to come back to Charlotte to see a specialist tomorrow for another ultrasound even though I was there yesterday. They found spots on my baby’s heart that could ultimately mean nothing but potentially mean some thing and I didn’t feel too worried until they called me back today because a few of their ultrasound images weren’t clear exactly clear to rule some risk factors out. This is my second little girl, so I’ve been trying not to stress since we found the spots yesterday. When I walked downstairs to leave my manager handed me a little bag from whomever left me this special special gift that I needed today. I cry while writing this because of any and all days that I needed something like this, today was the day. I thank God and whoever dropped this sweet gift off for me. No matter what, my family and my little girls and I are truly blessed. I needed this reassurance that no matter what God is looking over the both of us. I pray that my little girl is healthy and happy and I know we’re in God’s hands.

This morning, my husband answered the door to a women dropping off a bag for my wife and our family. We were told it was from a group of women who were praying and thinking about us. To our surprise, we opened the card and found money in the card. We are floored by the generosity and thoughtfulness of the gift. We are so thankful that there are people in the community that take care of those in need.
Again, we are so thankful for your kindness. We cannot put into words how grateful we are for the thoughts and prayers.
