She handed me an envelope with money in it. WHO DOES THAT???

When my doorbell rang, my first thought was someone is going to try to sell me something. I had just hung up the phone from yet another problem that needed to be solved since my husband died. Additionally, my mom died last weekend, and the kids and I are reeling from the shock and grief of losing two irreplaceable people in our lives. When I opened the door however, there was a woman I’ve never met before, telling me that 12 Ordinary Women were thinking about me as she handed me an envelope with money in it. WHO DOES THAT??? I am blown away and so touched that this organization exists. What an incredible blessing. Know that I will pay this forward and I think you from the bottom of my wounded heart. Your kindness is a salve. God bless you!

It’s like someone saying it’s ok, we’re here

I’ve never heard of this group and don’t really know who I’m writing to, or how you know me. But it doesn’t matter, I still want to express this gratitude. My mother recently and unexpectedly passed away at a young age. The person who wrote the card with my gift - your words were clearly divinely led and the postage was divinely timed for today. I can’t really put to words yet how complex my grief process has been, but the book is for a year’s worth of devotions, and somehow that said to me today that someone understands how things are only just beginning to surface. Having a book for this length is like someone saying it’s ok, we’re here, we’ll all be here to get through this. Thank you. Emily

Did you guys know this or something?!!

Deb and I are so baffled and blown away with what you guys/God did!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

The gift is almost the exact amount of emergency/dental work Deb needs!! She was is lots of teeth pain for over a week, following one of her worst MS flare ups she's experienced since she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 20 years ago!

The Endodontis had to stop an emergency root canal on Deb because he discovered a crack in her tooth, which then needed to be extracted. Now she needs 2 other new crowns, and 4 fillings!! Did you guys know this or something?!! Your gift is almost exactly what Debs dental expenses are estimated to be, which is mind blowing to us!!

Thanks again, and please pass along our thanks and graditude to your group for their generosity, prayers and listening to God! He will truly bless you guys!! Amen!!

In Christ Jesus,

Dan & Deb

Thank you so much for recognizing my effort

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for my awesome gift card and gorgeous baking set! I was in shock and super excited in receiving the cute bag and once I read the note, I was in tears! Now only have I come a long way from the person I was last year, I’ve flourished into a very empowered woman that would love to make a change in the world, big or small! Thank you so much for recognizing my effort to better myself, situation and family! I am forever blessed! God bless you and yours, always!

Blessings,
Izzy

You have no idea what this means…

A few weeks back 2 ladies dropped off a beautiful care package and card. I didn't know who they were but they smiled and blessed my day. I am homebound and disabled and these 2 ladies were my only visit that day. I cried when they left as I could feel the blessing that strangers brought to me. I am truly grateful for these ladies and the joy they brought me that day. I look at the gifts often and feel God's work. We all have purpose and it is so nice to feel special. I want to thank these ladies and the shopping that was done to make this happen. What a beautiful organization to bless a person in need. My prayers are that we all have opportunities to give someone in need some time. You have no idea what a few hours means to someone sick, older, lonely, poor, disabled, or in need. May God remember every second and remember you in his glory.

You are NOT ordinary

What a thoughtful gift I received this past weekend! I was not aware of 12 Ordinary Women, but would suggest that you are not "ordinary." The plant and gift card arrived at a time I was feeling overwhelmed with all that is going on in my life, dealing with a life changing illness for my husband among other things. I know there is nothing anyone can do to make life better for my husband, but it is so comforting to know that there are people who do care. God bless all of you!

This gift was clearly selected just for me!

It is with a humble and grateful heart, that I extended a deep felt THANK YOU, to 12 Ordinary Women. The words you expressed were so meaningful.....so, so meaningful...and the gifts were clearly selected specifically for me. Someone knows me....someone notices the joy in my life.....and someone took the time to show great care.
With a full heart,
Margo

Your card hit close to home…

I opened the door tonight to two women with a gift bag. They simply confirmed who I was and handed me the gift bag. I have received quite a few gifts, flowers and cards the last 5 weeks following the death of my ex-husband, father to my three girls. What a delightful surprise to find a gift card to the movies and to a pedicure place near me from an organization I had not heard of until today. I am not sure how you all got my name, but your card hit close to home and I am so very grateful for making someone’s list. I wish I knew who to thank in person, but this will do. Thank you for doing what you do. It made my day.
